2. What personal data we collect
Depending on how you engage with our professional development services such as conferences, seminars, webinars, awards, and expeditions we may process your personal data, including your identity and contact details, professional and educational information, account and login credentials, details related to your participation in programmes, technical and usage data (like IP address and browsing activity), and any information you share with us through communications such as emails or messages.
3. Why we process your personal data (purposes and legal basis)
We process your personal data only to the extent necessary for specific and lawful purposes, such as creating and managing your account, enabling secure access to the platform, and administering your participation in events, webinars, awards, and related programmes. Your data may also be used to communicate important service-related updates, improve our platform and services through analytics, and, where you consent, share information about similar programmes. Additionally, we may process data to comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests from authorities. Please note that if certain information is required to provide a service and you choose not to provide it, we may be unable to deliver that service to you.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the above purposes and any additional periods required by law.
5. With whom we share your personal data
We may share your personal data, on a need-to-know basis, with trusted third party Service providers who host our platform, send emails, support webinars, provide analytics, etc., under contracts, Programme partners and Public Authorities where required by law or to comply with lawful orders. We do not sell your personal data for independent third-party marketing.
6. Your rights as a Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have certain rights over your personal data, including the right to access information about how your data is being used and shared, the right to request correction or deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements), the right to raise complaints and seek timely resolution through a grievance mechanism, and the right to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity. You may also withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe or preference links in our communications, or by emailing us. Upon such withdrawal, we will stop processing your data based on that consent, unless further processing is required or permitted by law.

Grievances and complaints
If you have any questions or grievances regarding how we handle your personal data, you may contact us at communications@gavelglory.in. We will endeavour to resolve your concern within the timeframe prescribed under the DPDP Rules (currently 90 days).
If you are not satisfied with our response after using our grievance redressal mechanism, you may have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India under Section 13 DPDP Act, in the manner it specifies.
